FonePays to Auction Mobile Payment Software

June 29, 2011 by Mobile Payment Magazine

FonePays, a mobile payment software provider, will be sold to the highest bidder on July 8, 2011. The sale of the Software and other Intangible Assets is being conducted by Steve Geringer a technology consultant and licensed auctioneer. The FonePays software allows users to send money to one another using their mobile phones. FonePays completed development and beta test but was unable to continue operations due to lack of funding.

In a two stage auction, only qualified bidders from the first round are invited to participate in the second round. “There has been a lot of interest so far and we want to get the word out about the upcoming deadline. Interested bidders need to contact me as soon as possible”, Geringer said.

The auction will include software written for the back end servers as well as the front end applications for the web, SMS messages, Android and iPhone platforms. In addition to the software, other assets include the FonePays’ documentation, registered trademark and domain name.
